About Us

Innovative Systems Engineering (ISE) was founded by three engineers who came together in the 1980s while working on a project for an AMOCO Technologies Company. The project entailed scaling up laboratory thin film amorphous silicon photovoltaics to large area devices, and then, to design and build a manufacturing facility.

The project was led by equipment engineer Robert Stabinsky. Terence Kloss developed processes while Jennifer Raquet designed controls and automation for the project. It become obvious during this exercise that equipment suppliers were not interested in working as a technology partner to help the team develop solutions for the new technologies. This left no alternative except to develop the equipment in-house. As a result, the founders discovered that they formed a winning team for producing custom equipment that was far superior to the standard equipment available on the open market.

At the end of the project, the team struck out on its own and ISE was incorporated in 1994. Since then, ISE has been providing state-of-the-art equipment and control systems as well as full factory solutions to wide-ranging industries. From automotive assembly lines to semiconductor processing, and from pasteurized eggs to intelligent fasteners, ISE provides innovative solutions.
